The Manitowoc Ice IYT1900N-261 Indigo NXT™ ice machine has a clear coat over its stainless steel exterior that resists scratches and stains. Its front is removable for access to the removable internal components. Specific parts have antimicrobial technology built in to slow microbe growth. Preventive diagnostics run 24 hours, and the operating status and issues are shown on the display panel. Every 24 hours, this unit can produce 1,830 pounds of half-dice ice, which is ideal for regular drinks and alcoholic beverages.

Ice does not melt quickly since the door on the D-970 bin is foam insulated. Its side grips enable the user to easily lift the door, even with one hand. A cammed latch holds the door open while ice is being scooped. A 5.3-pound-capacity ice scoop comes with the bin, and it has built-in guards to prevent ice from being contaminated from contact with hands. Constructed of stainless steel, the durable exterior has a clear coat that resists stains.

The ice machine operates with a remote condenser, which can be installed as much as 100 feet from the unit, to cool the refrigerant. That remote condenser can withstand temperatures from -20 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit and must be connected to the ice maker using refrigerant lines.
