The unit produces 3⁄16-inch slices and can be used with food that has a diameter as large as 4 inches. To operate the slicer, users just have to push down on the handle, and its vertical design ensures it moves smoothly without much strain.

The blades in this Nemco 56750-1 food slicer are properly aligned and tensioned at the factory so users do not have to tighten them. This means employees can start slicing right away, each slice is consistent, and users do not need to handle sharp blades. These blades are made of stainless steel, so they are sharp and durable for heavy use, and the rest of the unit is constructed of commercial-grade aluminum that withstands high-volume operations and resists corrosion. Legs on the unit are set far apart to keep the unit stable and accommodate a food pan for product to fall in. Rubber feet on the legs prevent slipping on the countertop.
